The Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Adel Sharkas, stressed, "The Kingdom enjoys a volume of foreign currency reserves at comfortable and high levels of $ 17.4 billion, and a coverage rate of up to 7.6 months of imports of goods and services, which exceeds the recognized international standard of three months."

"The existence of comfortable levels of foreign reserves enables the Kingdom to be able to influence exchange rates, provide a stable economic environment, and enhance the confidence of foreign creditors and investors in the national economy and in the Kingdom's eligibility in its ability to meet its external financial obligations," he said."

The increase in the volume of foreign reserves is a positive indicator that shows the existence of financial and economic stability in Jordan and confirms the correctness of the monetary policy followed by the Bank.
